The Representatives of KTZ took part in the meeting of the OSJD governing body

The XVIIIth meeting of the Conference of General Directors (responsible representatives) of the railways of the Organization for Cooperation between Railways (OSJD) was held in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan).
It was attended by representatives of the railways of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Hungary, Vietnam, Georgia, Kazakhstan, China, the DPRK, the Republic of Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, the Czech Republic and Estonia, as well as affiliated enterprises and OSJD Committee.
The KTZ delegation was headed by the representative of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the OSJD Committee, Member of the OSJD Committee from the Republic of Kazakhstan Zubaida Aspaeva.
At the meeting, Zubaida Aspayeva made reports on the results of the work of the OSJD Commission on Freight Transportation and the OSJD Permanent Working Group on Financial and Settlement Issues for 2023 and information on the progress of mutual settlements for international passenger and freight transportation and the debt repayment mechanism between the railways of the OSJD member countries .
The participants considered all agenda items, on which mutually beneficial decisions were made related to the further improvement of the organization of passenger and freight transportation, coding and computer science in railway transport, financial and settlement issues, etc.
In addition, the OSJD activity report for 2023 and the Work Program for 2025 and subsequent years were approved. The location of the OSJD Committee until 2029 has been preliminarily agreed upon in the capital of the Republic of Poland – Warsaw.
At the meeting, several transport companies were granted the status of an affiliated OSJD enterprise. Among them is the ALE “SRO “Association of Kazakhstan Freight Railway Carriers”.
Following the meeting, a protocol of the meeting was signed and the Ashgabat Declaration was adopted.
