KTZ management visited enterprises of the Semey railway junction

As part of a working trip to the regions, the company's management inspected the production facilities of the Semey branch of the road, checked the readiness of the farms for winter, paying special attention to issues of labor organization and safety.

The management visited the Semey branch of the "Paramilitary Railway Guard", which ensures the safety of the transported cargo and the protection of KTZ facilities on a section with a length of 1,394 km. Every day, over 2 thousand cars are accompanied by switches of the departmental security.

A meeting was held with employees of the Semey operational wagon depot. A team of 370 people carries out technical maintenance of freight and passenger trains, prepares cars for loading and current uncoupling repairs. Over 80 thousand cars have been prepared for loading in the first seven months of this year. More than 21.7 thousand transit freight cars and over 11.8 thousand passenger trains passed through technical inspection points. More than 3 thousand cars were repaired in the workshops at the Semey, Zhana-Semey, Ayagoz, and Degelen stations. In addition, warehouses, production facilities, garages, and equipment at the logistics base were inspected. The management was informed about the storage conditions, ensuring the timely acceptance and shipment of goods (special clothing, spare parts, equipment, tools, equipment, etc.). In total, 9 logistics bases operate on the KTZ network in regional and district centers. In 2023, 38 warehouse buildings were repaired. In order to improve the working conditions of material base workers, the Main Network Directorate purchased forklifts, scales, and trolleys - more than 160 units - from 2021 to 2023. By 2029, the bases will be equipped with 6 truck cranes, 27 passenger cars and trucks, 9 buses and 47 loaders.
 

At a meeting with the heads of the railway divisions of the Semey hub, special topics of discussion were safety and labor protection issues.
Also, tasks were set to prepare the infrastructure to ensure the expected freight flow after the modernization of the Dostyk - Moiynty section and the construction of the new Bakhty - Ayagoz line. Instructions were given to intensify work to improve the technical condition of the infrastructure, as well as to take measures to develop the Zhana - Semey station.
 

During the working trip of the company's management to the region, a ceremonial event was held with the participation of the teams of railway enterprises, shippers of the Semey hub. The management congratulated the teams on the 120th anniversary of the Kazakhstan railway, noted the importance of the railway worker profession and the contribution of each employee to the development of railway transport.
